2026 A Star is Born Challenge 

Welcome to the Material Magic Quilt Shop's 2026 A Star is Born Challenge. We have chosen one bolt that just needs a little love and attention. 

Registration will be open from Jan 6th thru Jan 20th. Cost $20.00 You will receive a ½ yard of fabric from the bolt chosen for the challenge with more available for purchase once all have signed up. 

Now for the fun! 

 Create a textile, using any technique you would like. There must be at least one identifiable piece of the challenge fabric in your quilt. All the rest of the fabrics are up to you. Be creative! Your quilt can be any size or shape, however no side should measure greater than 60". We will accept quilt tops so that you have more flexibility in your timing. Please cover any label which contains your identity. Cut this form in half and write your story of what inspired you to create this quilt. This has your entry # on it & will be displayed with your quilt.  PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME ON THE FORM. 

TEXTILES must be turned in no later than March 4th 

Entries will be hung and anonymous votes will be cast! We will have an event at the shop on Saturday March 14th to announce and reward the 3 winners. Quilts may be picked up starting March 17th. Employees of Material Magic Quilt Shop may not enter or vote. Only one vote per person. Text Votes (503)397-5536
